Maria Summers is the Vice President of WellLink Group Purchasing. Summers is responsible for growing the GPO business line, building strategic partnerships and ensuring members realize their savings potential through the program's supply chain solutions. Her daily tasks include delivering the GPO service model to its members, undertaking business development opportunities, managing vendor relations and directing the business line and its team. 

Throughout her 14 years with the organization, she has held several different positions within the GPO department that have given her the ability to grow, learn and empathize with others. She began her tenure handling administrative affairs for the organization in 2011. In 2013, she became client services account manager, a role that saw her providing service to members across the continuum of care. Summers was elevated to national account manager in January 2015 and was later named senior manager of client services in January 2020. She assumed her role as director of GPO in January 2021.

Summers' passion and knowledge of customer service help her to constantly think of new, efficient ways to deliver superior service and increase membership value. She recognizes everything her team does plays a vital role in helping members reach their organization’s savings goals. She takes great pride in her team and appreciates their hard work and dedication to ensuring member satisfaction day in and day out. 

Summers obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Chancellor University in 2011.
