Brian Lane, MSHSM, FACHE, FHIMSS, FACHDM, CPHIMS, CSCS, is president and CEO of WellLink and The Healthcare Council.
Since joining the organization in 2019, Lane has led a period of transformational growth, expanding WellLink from a regional healthcare association into a national organization representing more than 800 facilities across 10 states. Under his leadership, the organization strengthened its advocacy platform, broadened its membership model to serve the full spectrum of healthcare providers, and built a unified enterprise that integrates association leadership, purchasing strength and innovation.
Lane has guided significant strategic mergers and acquisitions, including the affiliation of WellLink with The Healthcare Council and the integration of ShareSource and Purchasing Connections into WellLink Group Purchasing. These efforts have created a purchasing collaborative serving more than 32,500 GPO member locations nationwide, significantly enhancing scale, supplier relationships and member value.
Lane also led the organization’s comprehensive rebrand to WellLink, a pivotal moment that aligned its identity with its expanded reach, evolving membership model, and long-term strategic vision. More than a name change, the rebrand clarified the organization’s integrated value proposition and unified its core areas of impact under one cohesive national brand: advocacy through WellLink Health Alliance, purchasing strength through WellLink Group Purchasing, and forward-looking solutions through WellLink Innovations.
Under his leadership, WellLink has been recognized more than two dozen times with local and national workplace awards, reflecting a high-performing culture grounded in excellence, employee engagement, accountability and purpose-driven leadership. These recognitions underscore Lane’s commitment to building an organization where talent thrives, innovation is encouraged and mission remains at the center of the work.
